6/16
Capt Richard ran 2 trips out of the harbor today. First trip was supposed to be a fly fishing trip, but first half of the trip turned into casting lessons. After we got all the kinks worked out the tide was out and trout bite had turned off, managed 2 trout, then went shark fishing and caught several nice 3-5 sharks.
Second trip in the afternoon was a different story. Fished with repeat customers from the last 2 years, and the first 5 minutes made the trip the boys landed a 26 pound redfish, and then caught 38 sharks between 3-6ft long. As the tide started back in they did a little trout fishing with popping corks and caught 11.
I saw a nice school of tarpon today around Kiawah that were feeding on ladyfish, most of the fish in the school were 70-100 pound range. Tight Lines Capt John
